Perspective Of The New Year
It is the beginning of another year,
a time to reflect on what has been,
looking to the future without a tear,
moving on is the only way we can win.
Using the tools gained from the past,
helps us on our journey into tomorrow,
enjoying what is, knowing it won’t last,
for time is never owned, only borrowed.
Complexity of the moment always exist,
each adventure, we know not, what to do,
our greatest asset is our ability to persist,
possibilities as endless as the sky of blue.
Joys mixed with sorrow are upon the path,
decisions made in the mist of confusion,
some good but bad ones create the wrath,
the value of life is more than an illusion.
Live your life each day, filled with love,
relish the beauty and bountiful splendor,
cherish the sun, even when it’s raining above,
fight for each breath, never, ever surrender.
