Come with me and dance till morn
As ocean waves surround
Then we, with hope and faith adorned
Shall pray for peace abound
The journey, one begun in youth
And evermore to be
Shall rise before a lasting truth
Beside the placid sea.
Come with me as the sunlight falls
And stars, at last, appear
Then we, with shadows ‘pon the walls
Shall pray for love, sincere
Upon the journey, born ago
Within the bounds we see
That shall remain whate’er bestows
The smooth and placid sea.
Come with me to the garden gate
When frailty finds its end
Then we, held captive in our fate
Shall join hands and ascend
Upon the long, golden staircase –
Our lives linked eternally
After sharing one last embrace
Alongside the placid sea.
