It's been just over a year since I joined AD, and what a fantastic year I've had. I've made some wonderful friends here at the Den. I'd like to thank you all for reading me, your support, and kind words. In a kind of celebration I'm reposting a couple of my early works that were the first to appear on the Den. I'm dedicating this poem to someone very special who has recently re-kindled feelings I thought long dead...this is for her.

It must be your aesthetic

that leaves me feeling

weak and pathetic,

because you are so precise

perfect in every part.

A fine example of womanly art

and why I love you with all my heart.

The troubadour Paul standing out under the ancient oak, conscious of a new emotion and invents a new kind of poetry to express Woman. Re-kindled those feelings well in these lines, Paul! Poetry means what it says.
