Jesus Wept

As the apostles slept in the garden,

Jesus knelt in to pray.

Father, if possible

Let this cup pass away,

But not my will, Father,

But thine be done

Said the Lord of all the world

God’s only begotten son.

Jesus knew what lay ahead

He faced it without our fear

To gain the salvation

Of mankind he held so dear.

He knew that death would come

Though one he counted friend

He knew that Peter would deny him

Before the night did end.

He knew about the stripes

And the crown of thorns upon his head

He knew the cross he’d carry

Of it he had no dread.

For what he did he did for love

In spite of humanity’s sinful ways

That they might have forgiveness

And with the Father spend eternity’s days.

Yes he was aware of what was to come, and he and only he still does.
Beautiful words to embrace Bobbi.

Thnx Bobbi for sharing this wonderful scriptural piece. Something the human race should take pride in, when this man walked his last carrying a heavy wooden cross, that he would be tied to and nailed to for effect by Roman guards who had no more compassion for Jesus than they did for their own race. Lori said it well too. Perhaps He still weeps, because of all the hatred shown to mankind, by mankind. Bobbi the prayer I give at the end of each review and reply, is my belief and my hope, that one day we will have joy to the world, and peace on earth. Thnx for sharing Bobbi, everyone should read this and follow what Jesus taught us. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, maybe too stubborn for my own good, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your still very sad and terrified little sister, Barbie
