Welcome back
Did you miss me?
No? Can’t say I’m surprised…

Well then,
On to new pursuits
Where…old haunts?

Oh, but there is new promise there
And the smell of desperation
The sweet odor of hope
And longing
And indifference

Well bent and slightly askew
That’s how I like them
And that’s how they like me
At least for tonight, anyway

There again, I’m reminded
As always, not to think too hard
And act…just act
Like a cat
With subtlety and contempt
And hope and longing
And indifference

I have a river of scars
Watered by a flood of tears
And I glide purposefully along
Without malice or meaning
And watch as you suffer
In the way that I can only dream of

Wow....!!

I have a river of scars
Watered by a flood of tears
And I glide purposefully along
Without malice or meaning
And watch as you suffer
In the way that I can only dream of

Well written and quite haunting thoughts!!

Excellent work!!
