Remember Me

I am; Where the sky meets the earth;
Where the wide and unruly oceans were birthed-
I am; In the pastel colors of the rainbow's arch-
In the gentle Spring rain; and the Winds of March

And I am with you; Walking beside you each day;
I watch and help guide you down life's highway-
I've heard you when you said you missed me so-
but this dear Child I need you to know

It's okay to be happy; to smile and join in;
To hug your family; To play with your friends-
It's okay to remember me; or not to sometimes;
Most of all it's okay, to be you all the time

It's okay to love; Those closest to you;
It's okay to heal; and move on too-
It's okay to remember me; It's okay to cry;
It's also okay to let your tears dry

If after the Spring rain a rainbow you see;
It's just my way of saying it's alright with me-
For you to embrace freely all life has to give-
and cherish each moment with those you live

I will always be with you and beside you each day;
Throughout the course of time and all along the way-
To remember me is to honor me; So gentle; So fair-
To honor me is to remember the love that we shared

I agree with Cynth'ya. Praise be to the Holy One, who made Heaven and earth, and everything else, including the life we know. Whether this is a child's love, and a prayer for the ones the child loves, or and adult's prayer, for the ones the adult loves, makes no difference. This could be equally the same for both. Thnx my dear sister Lisa for sharing these wise words. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, maybe too stubborn for my own good, joy tot he world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your stillv ery sad and very terrified little sister, Barbie

Well my Sistah, the Seasons have spoken, and they say in the midst of the mad rush of life, it's gonna be okay because of the great "I AM." Praise be to the Holy One!

What a beautiful and touching poem this is, Lisa. You have me all teary and so very moved by your words. There is a bond that exists between parent and child and no circumstance can or will ever change that. We birth them, raise them and set them free, but the freedom part is only a physical thing, they remain tied to us for eternity and we to them. I don't believe that anyone could have written this any better than you have Lisa. You filled this page with love and hope. Amazing write, girlfriend and another keeper!
Take care,
Sherry

Oh Lisa................I am in awe. This is the most touching poem I have ever read to show a child that love never dies. I seldom save works from in here but this one I am definately saving and with your permission I will be adding to my funeral directions to be read to my own children and grandchildren when it is my turn to go. I only wish I could write so deeply and so tenderly and you captured all I could ever hope to say to them. Thank you beyond words for sharing this work that obvioulsy is so precious to your own heart.
