The Friendly Smile Of A Stranger

Even if a small step
Toward my personal goal
Means I am further along
Than I was yesterday
Like a stone splashing into still waters
I will spread my love in ripples to you
Because my quiet love
Are crying out for your spirit
My ordinary love today
Will become the extraordinary
When the glowing gems of wisdom
Will garnered from brief conversations
Even though the future looks bleak
The clouds will part soon
And it will turn out to be
A beautiful sunny day
Because on a sunshine morning
Spirits can glide easily
Over the ponds and leaves
And the timeless beauty
Of lacquer red bridges of love
And cherry blossoms will arise
Like tiny suns in the morning glow
And fog clouds far above
Will float freely
A half world away
The friendly smile of a stranger
Came my way today
I will borrow it
And I will silently
Send my daily
Bouquet of love
To “You”
