I like early morning walks the best
when silence is in its last rest
soon enough there will abound
the cacaphony of daily sounds

enshrouded in a cloak of fog
I let myself melt in like dew
knowing the elements can be friendly
when we let them be
though there is a damp chill in the air
soon sun will make all things fair
I say my thankful morning prayers

Communing with nature as I walk
I hear the birds begin to talk
I love to listen to their chatter
Just like all families discussing matters
Some sing so prettily it lifts the spirits
I'm so happy I can hear it
As the suns rays appear and warm me
I find I'm content just to be

The morning chorus of the warblers... Soul music.
Nothing so lifts the soul like a morning ramble.
My new year res' was to get up early and go for early walks. Still working on the first part..

The quiet hours of the morning, while the world sleeps and I spend time breathing in all of nature, is when I feel the closest to God. As the sun rises, I marvel at His amazing handiwork as one by one, the sun brings it all into view. It is then when I have a silent moment to be alone and at one with Him. That is my favorite and most rewarding moment of my day. This is a beautiful accounting of how you become part of all that is, as you watch the day unfold and see the beauty of everything that has been created for us. Very nice work, Eileen! This poem reads like a gentle sigh that refreshes the soul.
Take care,
Sherry

This morning poem goes well with my morning cup of coffee. One compliments the other. Early Morning Fog takes me on a nature walk that takes place cerebrally and physically on this plane of life. Very warming page, Eileen. Thanks for the inspiration in so that we may start another day of putting thoughts to the page. Blessed Be.

Content just to be - with nature by your side - a truly wonderful place for any of us to be, Tiger Lily. Walk On, and let those birdies serenade you!
