On finding and losing one's soulmate

An oh-so-mysterious connection

Of two lost souls entwining

Enchanting the dark room where we first met

An intensifying connection we first felt

You caught my eyes

As they sparkle and shine

Like diamonds in a mine

As I caught your smiles

So sweet, so enchanting,

So genuine… so inviting

Yet I sense

Behind your captivating smiles

A pain –

A pain your broken soul is hiding

In the darkness

I feel your soul and see your sores

As you found my scars

And sense the pain –

The same pain my broken soul is concealing

Yes – amidst the fire

We hid our strife

Ensuring what is right --

We both painted a picture

Of a perfect, peaceful, blissful life

But as our souls are so entwined

You feel my pain

As I feel yours

We see the chaos

Hidden within our heart mate’s core

As we found each other

In a garden full of wires

Heaven turns out to be

The next door to hell

As in the dark

We light our fires -
Breaking every rule with passion

And endless desires

So bright our sun shines -
As our scars a-healing,

Our hearts rejoicing

Alas! After all the pains we were hiding

After what seemed like an endless searching

Our souls have found what’s missing

And life once again had a meaning

Sharing life

Sharing love

So unconditional

So gentle and sublime

Where words are not required –

As we feel all the love and affection

We once captured in our very arts

So magical indeed –

As I have seen myself in the color of your paintings

Long before we even met

Your poems were already inside clearly in my mind

Before you even wrote them

Fate it is that brought our souls as one

So mystical –

We tried not to further understand

And so we dreamt –

Letting our selves drift away from reality

Wandering in a maze of fantasy

And enchanting dreams

Of you and me

As we tasted the sweet wine

It felt like –

I am your yin and you are my yang

Like the birds have wings

And fishes have fins

I need you

And you need me

To break the silence of the world so blue

And share the love that is oh-so-true

Until the shadows of the night
came to see you

Now you weep

Silently in anguish

Lost and confused –

Battered by the darkness of your past defeats

Tormented by the terrifying shadows of past mistakes

So afraid –

To take me along in peril

And so the angels took you away from me

For you to face the demons

And fight the evil within–

The evil that’s crashing your very soul

Hiding all the pain,

I kissed you goodbye

And showed you only my sweetest, bravest smile

As I pray for your victory in your battle

For peace

But I questioned the angels in heaven above

And cursed those demons

Confusing and softly killing you my love

Taking my sunshine,

Taking my life,

My joy, my soul

But no –

Our love is strong I know

Stronger by far than any one may understand

And neither the angels nor the demons

Can disconnect my soul from your soul

For the sun will never shine

My moon will never be bright

If our souls are not entwined

And so I fervently ask

To the One up above

“Have Mercy”

That He may lead you

That He may help you

As you find your way

Back to me

In a place and time

Where there is only
