Read Me

In the air, a choice, in my hands the parchment
fashioned as the vessel. Of words, of thoughts
and emotions designed to flow with the stream
within my eyes. Banks strewn with blossoms
with colours of fertility never dimmed by Winter
and a forest pool waiting, with hues of eyes
your eyes, to drink the seasons of these ripples
of breath, of touch, of all the wings open
across the ink.

Press your ear to my love
and dip your longing in my whisper, sense
the senses of this lushness sip liquid promises
of a divine sun, a divine sob into your lips.

Read kisses, whirl the unfathomable around
a palate of perceived meanings, echo
profane foundations of olympic bliss
as if you were incarnating this passion
this spark of all creations in my own body
that takes the essence of your own soul.

Read distances waning with ancient moons
into glories of new days, of closeness
let me coil abyssal heights around
the writings dawning in your pen
and sway, and dance, and print the song
of time dying as it births our always, now.

Read all that which ascends upon
this shimmering mist of merged skins
when they become seamless, when
lines, when stanzas, when whole poems
have been ripped apart for the full
glow of what we want to say to splash
to come… yes, to come across the brim
and overflow with us.

My hands enshrine your face, my end
your arms are archways, your advent
into the beatings of my heart, your temple;
My back is earth, your back the infinity
above the universe. All is written upon
the blend still throbbing in the middle.

Read me, wordsmith of unutterable spaces
imprinted eloquently upon your own sighs.

Oh Alexandra,

How wonderful it is to be loved so deeply by you!

I read you in first breath of morning when your lips tenderly caress my cheek. I read the starlight that emanates from your eyes when you gaze at me. I read you in the sunshine of your smile that warms my heart. I read you as I observe creation unfold from within your soul. I read you in the beautiful rhythm of ocean waves touching the shore of my dreams.

You are a book I can never stop reading. Just when I feel I have read all of you, I begin, anew, at the beginning, eagerly reading more of the ever-changing mystery of you.

A vessel of the decipherment of Joseph's 'Write me.' Read Me is a Double V life-sustaining property, the Double V meaning running water, where Marija Gimbutas is indivisibly linked with the study of the prehistoric Goddess. Gimbutas compares various symbols inscribed on the back and legs on Stone Age vessels of the Goddess. The painted, downward lines on Goddess jugs and icons represent rain. Similar symbols on breasts denote milk and the the backs of the thighs signify amniotic fluids. In this way, Gimbutus links the Goddess with the primary element of water and establishes the basis for her theory of a Paleolithic creatrix forming herself and the world out of the primordial fluid.

Read Me, when I analyze it many times, assumes a symbolic emphasis on the OneLight source of creation and nourishment-------------->

"of all the wings open
across the ink."---------------->A storage vessel from Knossos, Crete, c. 1450 BC, Marija Gimbutas interprets the double-axe as a Goddess motif, saying it evolved from the butterfly, a symbol of the soul.

Alexandra, this speaks to me that this poem has ancient origins. We must go back in time now to decipher.
