"May you see this and be proud of me"

Graveside on My Mother's Birthday

May it all be true what you taught me

Of heaven and of life after death

Sweet kind gentle mother who brought me

To life by your life and gave me breath

May you shine like the stars forever

And know your only child will never

Never never forget about you

May you see me honor you and know

I will ever and always love you

And that because of you I will grow

To be the man you knew I could be

May you see this and be proud of me
