Rumours

in case you should be wondering
what’s happened to yours truly
I am alive but disinclined to write
not the acursed writers block wherein’
the poet’s insecurities hold in check
the poetic drive. just disinclined
to put pen to paper and unite
subject object and predicate
it is a time of dryness a fallow season
a time to observe and to ruminate
in due course, when I have sufficiently
observed and ruminated and
I am thoroughly recombobulated
I’ll be back with a pocket full of poems
and a heart full of song . . .

... ...

I'll not be far --i'll be reading and commenting -- and occassionallly posting

Indeed, just as it is written, for everything there is a time and a season, and taking time to "recombobulate" is one of the more important things any poet can do. Enjoy your ruminations.

I love those poems about you and I guess your kids, or somebodies kids doing such mundane things as the chores or shoveling snow or whatever, they are the nicest to think about for those of us without family, other than an old, hairy, ugly dog...LOL! Take all the time you need, you have my permission...but come back soonest...Ed
