This is a Shakespearian sonnet that i wrote last year. if u pay attention to the rhyme scheme u can see that every other syllable has an almost perfect rhyming match!!! that was hard to do so i was proud when i pulled it off!!!

He drifts along a path of broken dreams
For that is where he feels that he belongs
He lifts his arms and asks for hope to gleam
He's made but there is still belief in God

The pages of his past are burnt with grief
He's waiting for a God who saves and heals
But paitence doesnt last eternally
He's wading but the waters staying still

But wait, there is a ram inside the bush
A way to get up out his present state
A way for him to stand and try to push
A way to get a crown at Heaven's gate

Away from all the pain and useless fights
This way is called the Way, the Truth and Life

Welcome to the world of poetry via the DEN, Aaron. I have long admired your father's beautiful work, and I see that you have a special talent all your own. Partly inherited, sure, but you have your own "voice," and I especially like it in this poem. That last line tells me a lot...as I also try to follow "The Way, The Truth, and The Life."
Keep up the good work brother Hall.
