The medicine woman
hides within
and comes out for you
when you are calling out
I can't refuse a cry
I can't stand your pain.
Your tears are lasting too long
in my humble opinion.

It's been my destiny
to pull out my bag of tricks
to fix
you or him or her or others
(I think that I can do better than their Mothers)
but they often run back home.
It scares them
when they see
that's it's not the usual way.

But it's true
let me prove it to you

Where's the pain, the ache?
I have it all right here in my head,
near my bed, in the cabinet,
in my purse, in a bag or in a store nearby.

I keep well supplied for emergencies
and do not charge any fees.
I do it for you and I do it for me
It's the little girl in me to help you tonight.
It's the little boy in you who is willing to believe.

Can't sleep? Than try this....
it's my chamomile tea.
Still not working?
Then try this one: kava kava will mellow you and then you might feel rest.
Eyes still not drowsy?
Then let me give you my Oriental pearls.
It usually knocks one right out
especially when I apply my thumbs over your head and under your neck.
I play my fingers just so
to take the poison out of you.

Come drink my tea
try my rememdies
let me lay my hands on you so softly
and gently
hear my sweet voice
fall into the mesmorizing joy of it all

let me move my hands all around
I plan to use this pleasant oil to relax you and work out the knots in your back, neck and head.

Honey, you will not be dead.
I swear this is safe.
You will be asleep before you know it
It's just my problem to where to put you
since I haven't opened a shop up yet.

Are you depressed? Take this St. John's Wort and give it a chance.
Are you anxious and nervous?
Try my dose of magnesium. And another plus some calcium until you're balanced out all right.

Does your tummy hurt?
Here chew these papaya tablets
and lay down and rest
put your feet up
I will rub you on the soles
and you will soon feel relief.

My hands are my tools
My creams and lotions are for healing
My aromatherapy can help all kinds of your ails
My herbs can be made into wonderous teas
Drink it up
trust in me
and let your body just be.

I am here
to relax you
make you feel so much better
Take your time
and so will I.
This is the best magic that I do.

I come with credentials
I do make mistakes
but no one has complained yet.
Let me light that candle for you
which one do you need?
Calming, energizing, relaxing or what?
Mint, Thyme, Rosemary, Sage, Paprika
I have them all here in my little bags.

I make little pillows that you can sleep with during your naps or at night Let the aroma sink in to your brain and through your nostils; breath in deeply

Trust me for these little sachets are
filled with just what I have ordered
and just for your ailment.
Lavender is good for relaxation.
Which one do you like best?

Are you congested?
Is your nose runny?
Does your throat tickle you?
My, where did that cough come from?
Oh, please let me take care of you.

Here's the eucalyptus
let me rub it on your chest
and let me do the rest
Drink this licorice tea
Inhale this potion
let my hands do the motion
Chew this vitamin C; here, take three
Trust me I plead.

Haven't lost anyone yet
want to make a bet
that it does work for me
Tried and tested

Can't cure cancer
but here, take these multi-vitamins, garlic capsules and rest.
Then all we can do is pray for your remission and a cure.

I pray while I knead you
with the oil of my carefully chosen potions and lotions
I can give you an hour or a day
then I must slip away.

There are others calling
and I must replenish my supplies
at the nearest health food store.
I search the bins
read the books
and practice on you and you and you
it's gone on for quite a number of years.

Can't you hear me?
I have just what it takes.
Let me insert this cone gently in your ear
so you can hear.

Trust me to light it
as it burns wildly above your head
it's really all quite fun!

I haven't lost anyone yet.
It draws the wax up so expertly
Look there it is.
Don't do it too often
but keep it up
and you will notice such a difference
I know that you'll come knocking at my door again.

The nurse is here
all in white and smelling of vanilla
let me tend you
let me ease you with my hands and oils
light the candles
come along
enjoy the ride
I think it's quite soothing
and I find the results very moving

Enjoy it now
while I do it
I may change my mind someday.

You have a headache?
Here's this magic herb for you
and let me massage it away.
I can put people to sleep with my hands

I can be your fantasy
you can even flirt with me
if you choose your words carefully
just don't get too close
this is business right here
but I am near you
showing you my love and caring
just don't touch so I can do my work
on you.
I need to close my eyes to meditate
and locate
the ailment in you
and diagnose wisely
remembering what else that you partake.

Drink this pure Aloe Vera
try the Tea Tree Oil
staight from Australia
Put this powder in Spring water
watch it fizz and then drink it
trust me it works.

Stop here first before you go to the Doctor
Save some money and time
I'll release you to the proper authorities if it is not too frightening
for you to wait
and try my potions
or my lotions
Just don't tell them
or you will be lectured and you may run
from me.

Here take this acidophilus
and protein health shake
before they make you leave.
A tablespoon of lecithin and brewer's yeast
will be quite a feast if mixed well
to feed your brain

Not too much ginseng
I find that is too stimulating
Just a pinch or two will do
and here, try this tablespoon of linseed oil
before you go.

When you come back
I will dose you with the best that I have.
It's a shot or two of Swedish Bitters
and let me rub it all over you.

I can't fail you
Just keep trusting me
I do consult with physicians
but this is so much more exciting.

Tell me the truth if I fail
I'll try again and see
if it happens more than twice
if I do it correctly and you have listened and it still does not take
don't call me a fake

I couldn't do it
it's all I have
I will be crushed
if I can't relieve you, heal you, relax you
than I am through
with this business.

Stay with me
for awhile
let me help you tonight.

In the morning
you can go
and continue what I have prescribed.
If you fail to follow it
I can't promise that this will last you
at all.

Don't thank me
just help me
fill up my medicine bag
Give me kindness
tell me the truth
and pass this sacred knowledge around.

But remember it only works
if you do it from love.
