Here I am alone again
Waiting for magical moments
This empty beach was our delight
Oh how I miss  you tonight

Just as the sun disappeared
I knew a moment of  longing
That I could make you appear
Let your light take its place
How I longed for your face

I dreampt I saw you through
A prism of light that I caught
From the new moonlight
Wanting you with me
The way you used to be

Oh moon that pulls oceans tides
I'd like to give the waves a ride
And have your beam to cover me
As you do the eternal sea
My love no longer tries to please
He treats me like a vapid breeze
I remember being dressed in stars
Traveling to  galaxies afar
Dazzled and dancing in fairyland
Keeping love safe  hand in hand
Now the nights fly by too fleet
And nothing left seems as sweet

I hate when that happens, Eileen! This poem screams of longing and of dreams that failed to come true. It is so difficult when we find someone who has us swinging on a star, only to lose them to another dimension. Perhaps it was all in our vision, perhaps they were never as we believed them to be, yet, the love that we allowed our self to feel, seemed so real that we believed it would last forever and that it had always been a part of both of us. The time spent apart becomes a bitter pill of brightly colored memories and our future seems to contain far too much black, white and gray. Outstanding writing, Eileen. This is a fantastic, keeper of a poem.
Take care,

Beautiful and sad. You do romantic writes in a way that no one else can do them. A lot is left to the imagination and I like that. Good work, Eileen.

Eileen, this should be on page 58 of a romance novel and Nothing Seems As Sweet should be the Chapter. A beautiful dialogue I see here. Yes, a romance novel. You do these so well.
