" A Change Is As Good As A Tonic "

........................................................

Have you tried a Power Nap to reinvigorate yourself

Only fifteen minutes of your precious time,

That could make or break your day

Help you regain your focus and clarity

In such a short period of time

Sheer meditative bliss that surrounds you like a halo

Wrapping you up in the comforting Blanket of Time

You know it feels so good to supine

And you'll never ever feel the need to repine

So please take the opportunity to recharge your batteries

And freshen your perspectives from inside

Close your eyes and think of me

Can you make the connection now

I am only but a fleeting shadow away

And I surely compass every degree

Slumber in the sleep of the Just

You'll find its such a thrill

Marvellous secrets will unfold to you

I guarantee you every time

Now rest those weary eyelids a while

And drift along with me in style

Sample all the delights of really being free

Liberated in your rocking chair

We'll Dream the world away

Come with me to Enchanted Land

Where magic exists amongst the Elves

And Angels and Faeries co exist

Come and see, oh how we'll spree

You know my promise is to care of thee

We'll dash the brazen symbols of illusion

And crystallize our own reality

You don't need to take that dubious substance

Just dispose of it today

I have something greater to give

That you have never known before

So step this way in confidence

Lets revel in our new found way

And I'll make you smile all day

Take my hand my trusted one

And we'll whisk ourselves away

Drift together betwixt the starlight

So serene sailboats set sail

Towards the curvatures of space

We'll Signify our willingness to agree

And definitely come back for more !

I power nap a few times a day for briefly 15 minutes a whack. It is rejuvinating and it is where my inner imagery is stored. Letting dream images come to me at their own gait, in a waking state, rather than a sleeping state. I am just lightly lucid and the most vivid images come to me, and then I get up and put the imagery to paper. This write is so refreshing, Peter and I really like this line, "So step this way in confidence." Thanks for the daily inspiration, Peter.

i've been power napping for years ... i only sleep a few hours a day so power napping revitalizes me ... it's also a great vechicle for the wake induced lucid dream state (W.I.L.D.S.) ...

i like what you say in this poem ... the images capture the moment and the experience ...

In our dreams we visit realms beyond our perception and imagination only to wake up again in the lowest realm of all - the physical plane. All of us present here and now have a long way to go, an abundance to learn or we would not be here. The only way out is to cast away the limits that trap the scope of our minds and the space in which our spirits move. The conditioning that confines us to this illusion we call life, will deny and ridicule all we experience and encounter in our dreams. But its authority like all else is ephemeral. Thank you for creating and sharing. Take care,

If I go to sleep for 15 minutes, I will wake up but I will roll back over and sleep for at least two more hours..then I am in a fog that is beyond clearning...also I am so tired that I am ready to go to bed for the night in an hour or so. I have always envied those who could power nap and awaken refreshed.
Take care,
Sherry

Peter,

I wish I could take a power nap, but if I lay down at any time during the day, you can forget me sleeping at night....grrrrrr, drives me crazy.

An excellent write, though...enjoyed!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Sounds like just what I need, Peter - and now, if I can get these critters on my lap in this rocking chair to nap, too, it will be Nirvana!

I have used power naps a great deal, just what you said, they invigorate and they are better than coffee or anything like that...one wakes up feeling refreshed and ready to take on any challenge for another few hours...good write, Pete...peace, Ed & Rufuz
