This poem is to you... and you know who you are---- and believe me it is long overdue!
Itís true what a difference a day makes,
Especially when youíre dealing with heartache
Itís good to know where you stand when the tough times come.
How could you do this to me?
I was there for you when you needed me,
But you couldnít take the time to lend a hand back to me.
Weíre told when you shun the least of your brothers
Thereís no way you could love Christ or any other,
Because youíve missed the point of the law entirely.
Is that whatís wrong to you?
Remember the way I lifted you up?
Used my means to aid you when things were tough?
And now that youíre on your feet you canít see a way to reciprocate.
I read something today that reminded me of us,
A parable by a teacher even you should be able to trust.
Especially since you say youíre a disciple of his teachings.
So think back to what youíve read.
To the man in Luke Chapter ten that was beat, stripped and left for dead.
Do you recall the three men who saw his plight and how they reacted?
Let me remind you.
The first was a priest, someone you should relate to.
He walked right by, even though he saw the man was abused.
I guess he was late for an appointment and had no time to lose.
Then came the other religious man, a Levite
Dressed to impress and preoccupied could be his excuses for being contrite.
He, too, passed by not trying to do anything that took him out of the way.
With these two gone and the man distressed, left all alone
How could they worship with confidence that their sins would be atoned?
When all along they had forgotten the basics of what they believe.
So who was this manís saving grace?
Who did what was right, even taking him to a safe place?
It was the Samaritan. The one looked down on as the least of man.
He showed humanity.
I guess what Iím trying to say is Thank You.
A lesson has been learned, and it was possible because of you.
I know for sure that friendship comes from the actions of the loyal few---
And not the empty words of those with facades and agendas like you.

|WOW!!! What nerve it took to write this piece. I'm just blown away by the depth of the meaning. It's amazing that some artists use their work to try to overshadow the deep dark secrets they try to hold in the closet. Just remember to keep pushing against the closet door cause sometimes some of the bones are exposed and you don't realize it.|
