Old-fashioned humor about a 'proper' lady.
Sandra S. Corona
Take me as I am, a broad.
In the soul of a lady too long Iíve trod.
Guys no longer whistle but laugh, Ďwhat a broadí.
Sashay up, give me a crowd,
Iíll pirouette, tap-dance and belt one out loud.
Give me my full accord when I have stopped, bowed.
Take me completely, a broad.
Proud of who I am, a broad!
Jingle jangle, like a gypsy, things dangle.
May the wind twist, knot, my hair into tangles.
My stockings are black fishnet
but I havenít finished my fishing . . . not yet.
I wonít win a trophy for my beauty . . . you bet,
but Iím sincerely a broad.
You want me to go . . . a broad?
Oh the stories, adventures that ring a bell,
but Iím too full of living on them to dwell.
I want to hear your applause
not for any feat but just for me . . . because
I lived my life without taking any pause.
My ticket for life . . . a broad!

Although I hate the use of the word " broad " to refer a woman. I believe you have punched a golden ticket. Well done.

|Remember when Julie Andrews and Dudley Moore got into a discussion about broads, and then turned into a fight, then a breakup in the movie "10"? She was so hoity-toity uppity. Broad offended her. I like the word broad, but some women are not broads. You have to have experience in being a broad. It is not a cheap term! It is a lady of cutting it loose when it needs to be cut loose! And I love black fishnets! The crotchless ones! I am a broad! I would rather win trophies for my words than my beauty! I already have. Ricki Lee's Proud Lesbian Website Broad Award! Good to see you posting again, Sandy. Blessed Be.

Inspiration for those who are not part of the "beautiful" crowd. O, the adventure! The living! Thank you--loved this one.
(((HUGS)) and love, Karla (who's proud to be a broad). :)
