A poem about the water in a waterfall

The water flows down the stream. Rushing past the lush emerald greens and dark shades of browns. The water contorting to the quick turns and steep banks along the path in which it is destine to follow. it arrives at the peak of the waterfall. It is as if time has stopped to build suspense for the fall, and as it is stopped, the misty sky and the dark jade treetops are all that are visible for miles on end. Time resumes as the water shoots forward, gliding past the edge with the same speed that it had before, and then arcs to whatever lies below, feeling weightless but still descending. lifted off the ground on which it use to flow, free falling, quickly, rapidly. The air rushing past, faster and faster the pool of water and the city of rocks below approach. The water shatters as it strikes the rocks that are protruding from the earth like the fangs of a vampire, and then sheets off down and plunges into the icy cold water. Then, when all has quieted, it rises and floats gently... downstream... into the tranquility and peacefulness of the forest

Again imagery in Nature is everything and you put on a show with your writes that a reader can actually see and get the feeling he/she was actually there...I have seen precious few waterfalls in my long life, maybe someday when I do my cross-country trip I will get to see more...till then I have this poem to inspire me...Ed
