Determination
and years of training have brought
them to this moment;

the spotlight on them;
the entire world watching,
united as one

behind the athletes
standing at the starting gate
of Olympic fame -

love for the sport shines
as bright as the medals they
have already one

in their golden dreams;
the pressure is off; nothing
can shake their focus:

LET THE GAMES BEGIN.
Hope remains for mankind; we
watch greatness happen.

(c) 2006, Karla Dorman.

Hooray, a tribute to atheletes the world over. I really admire great atheletes. Their sacrifice is immense. My son lives in Beijing. Maybe he'll invite me over.

Will have to watch, thanks for the reminder. TV is usually off in this house except on a few evenings. You do so well in these chains you create. Good work!
