Laugh It Off

Or cry it off, the choice is yours.

It don't have to be funny,
the day doesn't have to be sunny.
Nothing doesn't have to be right,
it could be real close to fright.
The weight of the world,
could be on our shoulders,
heavier than Mt Everest boulders.

When times get rough,
we need to laugh.
We also need to cry,
it's up to us to give in or strongly defy.
I laugh more than I cry,
and I know the reason why.

We don't have to be happy to laugh,
nor do we have to feel good to smile.
Enough pain will produce an action,
bring disappointment or satisfaction.
Laughing and crying are choices,
chiseled out from lifes hard courses.

Too know a laugh and a smile,
is to know joy for awhile.
Awhile might only be a minute,
so we should enjoy while we're in it.
Out of all earth's creatures,
we were blessed with joy features.

To use,
especially when we win and lose.
Which one we choose,
is up to the one who wins or loses.
Not the outside observer looking in,
with only saddness as a friend.

I like this POEM! Thanks for sharing it with us. I do both and sometimes I laugh to keep from crying. I want to cry right now because I lifted a package and now my sprained ankle is hurting. Thanks, love, Betty Torain

Grady,

I would rather laugh than cry myself, but if I am feeling sad or depresed, sometimes a good bawl session is exactly what I need. They say that crying is good for cleaning out the soul and the hurts in your life, and I am not ashamed to cry. You are hearing from one of the Den's most sensitive people: I cry at DISNEY movies for God's sake! LOL Heck, I even cry during the "Wizard of Oz"! LOL That's how much of a softie I am! LOL

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D >tears <
