One Day

One day I'll stand before Him;
and in Greatness I will be-
One day I'll walk beside Him-
it'll be a glorious sight to see

On that day I'll hear the angels;
with sweet voices singing praise-
Testifying to the love of Jesus-
in the spirit of Him to raise

On that day the trumpets will blast;
tears of joy will fall-
I'll wait above the valley of peace;
to hear my name be called

On that day I'll touch him;
and know the blessings of tender youth-
I'll read from the book of eternal life-
with St. Peter; Mark and Ruth

On that day I'll bow before Him;
to worship the God of Love-
I'll join the choir of voices-
in that heavenly kingdom above

On that day there'll be a reunion;
a crowd of souls will gather-
A celebration of love and laughter-
Reunited once more together

One day I'll stand before Him;
and know in Greatness I will be-
One day I'll bow before Him-
and whisper the name of Thee

We have to agree with Mary Lynn, those words should be in a song and we all should sing it, it is indeed beautiful and filled with hope,

Keep your faith. Words that belong on a prayer card or in a song. Very well said! I saved a photo like the face except that the face of Jesus is in the sky crying at the Earth.

Lisa, this is a beautiful prayer in the form of a poem.
We all wish for that eternal walk...not too soon however. Still too much to do.

This is so very moving, Lisa, penned with a grace that only you possess, with perfect flow and content. This made me sigh a deep sigh and I said outloud "Oh my" after I finished reading it. You touched me deep with this write, Lisa, an exceptional poetic offering. Of course, I will be saving this, adding it to my already heaping stack of Lisa Poems. This is so uplifting and full of promise, thank you Lisa and my prayers will be with you while you are away.
Take care,
