" Use your loaf in life "

The mathematician enthuses

About the law of probabilities

And drones on boringly

About equations and formulas

Mad scientists play at being God,

Seperating man from the divine

They tear down our churches,

And replace them with mosques

And across the divide,

Our politicians share the spoils

I smile within

At the futility of it all

They think they are smart

With their clever devices

Hoodwinking the masses

Or so they think

The man in the street

Knows more than they realise

You can't fool all of the people

All of the time

I lazily stroll across the lawn

Admiring the snowdrops

With their heavenly show

A grey woodpecker drums

Upon an ancient oak

The wood pigeon coos soothingly

You know spring is alive and awake

I sit down on a sheltered park bench

And gaze dreamily across the pond

A moorhen breaks cover suddenly

With a terrific splash

The little grebe dives

Down under the pondweed

The spring sun dapples the trees

In shades and hues of gold

Wafting lavender scents the air

As I ponder Man's lust for and misuse of power

And the intrinsic beauty of it all

Is that really my friend

They just haven't a clue

Nature is one thing science could not have created. Waking up in the morning is a miracle in itself. Thank you for your uplifting words.

When we associate sovereignty with people, we see it so misused for selfish reasons. History shows that power corrupts. Rulers and kings have been brought down about their own downfalls because they can't handle power. We need to detour these in power, be learned people of life's obstacles and deceptions, and move us as a Whole toward our goals. Uplifting, teaching lines, Peter.

So true Peter! This is a superb poem to share! It shows how insidious mans manipulative mind is to try to have his way.
We must stay firm in our truth which is the Blessed Trinity!

True, true...all that we build will one day fall and what God has placed here will remain the intrinsic beauty of the earth. The world has gone crazy and power is an insatiable monster who requires constant feedings and ego stroking that will be the demise of mankind. Before they are all gone, we must take time to tend and smell the flowers and sip the sweet waters of the rushing rivers.
Take care,

The world is heading for a fall....most definitely not a waterfall!!

They go trough this life blind folded by their own greed!!

They just haven't a clue

I very sadly believe that you are right, my friend - especially about those politicians these days - and their lust for spoils.
