Written for the one whom we all forget at times...
Dear heart, it’s once again that eve that we both dread
wishing gone the memories that linger in this head.
Soul’s a little saddened as the hours draw thin...
Tomorrow’s just one more hour closer to coming in.
Dear heart, I’m sorry for the pain I’ve put you through.
I swear that you’d be perfect...if I just possessed a clue
to not fall for who I had fallen for...I would have saved you.
I wouldn't have played dead...I wouldn't have become so subdued.
Dear heart, I hope that you decide to keep your small parade
and allow me the breath of life within this masquerade.
I hope that you will forgive me and I hope that I can trust you.
I wish that I could believe...I wish that I could start anew.
It’s almost St. Valentine’s day...The loneliest day of the year
those commercials and banners only remind of what’s not here.
Chocolates, flowers...sold from the shoulder of a highway...
Nothing sentimental...only the greedy games we play...
Dear heart, I hope that you realize I’m aware that you’re real
and that you control the part of my soul that does feel.
Please forgive me for our pains and rocky starts.
I remember you this eve...I remember you, my poor heart.
