Watching this old world through a windshield to life A good truck driver,‘sides being a mother and a wife. Listening to the Jake brake’s deep-throated bellows I’ve got White-line fever as much as any of the fellows. Cruising along with a box behind Obeying the laws and watching the signs. The CB radio is music to my ears Driving the big truck and shifting those gears When the load’s delivered and I’m done for the night The truck stop ahead is a welcome sight A bite of supper, a shower and some rest This lady truck driver just tries to do her best Some of the men truckers think that I’m out to rob some rough burly guy out of his job but those truckers on the road don’t need to stare Just divvy up those loads so I get my share.
