This is a free verse about a virtuous woman worthy of praise and adulation.

An Unselfish Life
promolgated grace,
exuded light,
transformed lives.

In life and death
ripples and waves of gratitude
displayed the priceless effects,
as gems of gratitude glistened.

Posthumous accolades resonated with
the rich timbre of soul.
Presidents, residents, visitors gathered.
Myths, prejudice, oppression shattered;
to honor the life
of a virtuous woman that really mattered
Coretta Scott-King!

Miriam, you painted Mrs Scott-King
with the same light many of us see her.
Bravo! Well done... I really love the
flow of this poem.
