" So Long Thy Power Has Kept Me, Sure It Will Still Lead Me On "

.............................................................................................

It is important to forge our bonds

especially within our family, and then spread out

cords that tie us with love and affection

reminders and prompters for when the going gets tough

so take great care of your relationships with each other

at the end of the day. it is all we've got

and never let the sun go down on an arguement

kiss and make up before it is too late

life can be very hard, and  we all need a helping hand

be kind to each other, whenever and wherever you can

pause for a while in reflection, from the rat race of existence

listen to the melodius bird song, take a little time to reminisce

recall where you sprang from. the gentle hand of grace

so if you know someone who is suffering today

go to them at once, its your obligation to be there

listen intently to all their troubles, take them on as your own

because when you give your comfort, the problem is often solved

lift the other person's spirits up, that's what really they need most of all

when the dark clouds dissipate, they'll see the way to go

hold their hand and cherish them

put your arm around them and give encouragement and consolation

show by your actions, you'll support them through and through

even when they are wrong, a good friend will stand by

instill confidence and determination, lead by example

remind them we are spirits, and nothing can do us harm

show them how to rise above their afflictions, and put sorrow to flight

bolster and reinforce their faith in full measure

and their will to live, will shine brightly on again

This is the business of effective living. The nest is a beautiful place for bonding and nurturing. Nest-leaving is even more beautiful and can be viewed as "thanks for the reinforcement" as well as the one watching the takeoff. Peter, this write is a testimonial to the strong bonds that you have forged in your life.
