Power Rangers
by Christian “Doogie” Turner, age 6

(Doogie won first place in Guy Gilchrist’s Poetry Contest 2000 in his age group for this poem.)
****************

I want to be a Power Ranger
They survive all kinds of danger
I like the red . . . the silver one too
Come play rangers with me, won’t you?
I adore rangers . . . I know them all
And they would win over Darth Maul
A little ranger with a loose tooth
I’ll be a strong man . . . that’s the truth.
