Ain't Muses just the darndest things?? I wanted to do this all kind of oblique, edgey and mysterious... and all I got was more gamboling rhyme - hence the title!! :))

Anyways, my parting shot, a poetic "Mwah" to wish you all much comfort, peace and shelter while I'm gone.

Hasta luego, muchos besos ~ Kate xx

LOST IN TRANSLATION

A Chinese whisper,
the hint of a dream

Fabric of another world -
things not being what they seem

The life of the spirit,
a token of prayer

The kiss of communion -
knowing someone is there

Soft shelter of love,
the hope to take flight

Sweet breath of a sigh
that comforts the night

Sleek shaft of an arrow
dispelling all fears:

just when you need one
a feather appears!

xxooxx Kherubic Kate!! :))

Do angels hear us on a different frequency? I imagine they have abilities that we do not possess. They do have so many more responsibilities than us mortals. Can a sigh speak volumes.....I think yes, when caught by the right ear..........
This is a dreamy heavenly wrie Kate, it flows like a blanket of peace, and I hope with all my heart, that you are feeling peaceful now....my condolences to you and yours..........
Love your new profile pic...........

This is a wonderful poem, Kate. You have created a mood, and allowed the images to evolve and devolve magically.

I left those two swan feathers under your pillows for this very reason. Away with all of your fears, sweet Kate. Blessed Be.

Could that feather, perhaps, be that of an Angel? I like the rhythm and rhyme of this one Kate.

LOST IN TRANSLATION but found in excellence. These lines fall over the reader like a silk net of hushed urgencies and luminous threads. Love the feel and the sound and the sense they make.

Very nice, Kate. I wonder if everyone built up to a soft sigh with this line: Sweet breath of a sigh
that comforts the night
If you didn't carefully plan that, your natural talent is amazing. If you did carefully plan that, I'm envious. Beautiful job.
