Latin Night Music

By Susan K. Rowse (de Vegter)

Copyright 2005

In misted haze the damp surrounds

The troubadors in this village town

The air is full and senses probe

In unison the voices roll

Young teenage years in distant lands

Romance the night in bonded bands

The light aglow on a balcony floor

Music permeates veranda doors

As vocals raise into sight

Guitars are strummed for romance nights

For Latin flounce…

Embroidered whims…

Skirts kick up…

Voices sing…

Band of brothers…

Play their song…

Young passions gesture …all night long

Then just as quick into the haze

The troubadors mysteriously fade

Vocals of a Latin beat

Lulls the night back into sleep.

Superior write filled with the passion of the Latin race as well as the fire of the night. I could picture myself there watching and tapping a toe to the beat.
