time for patience begins again
as my heart holds still and waits
living life as if all is okay
forgetting the constant pain

turning from enigmatic dreams
to the perpetual tug of obligation
my heart attempts a circumnavigation
only to get lost in love’s extreme’s

embracing sweet memories of what is true
a million wishes burn into my skin
knowing one day the next phase will begin
in my life of love, with and without you.

Intense and deep as the love that always attaches to our hearts and torments our minds. You have captured that uncertainty well.
