~Summit~

The unfinished parts

 .  .  . Of life

Desultory strife

 .  .  . Of the plain

Wall beyond wall

 .  .  . Of redefinition

Effects

.  .  . Of inhumanity

Pry into your secrets

 .  .  . Of off-base divided

Essence rolls

 .  .  . Of separated souls

Effectively from other practices

.  .  . Of a hidden vice

Climb the highest summit

 .  .  . Of “I wish I could be there”

Silence at the top

.  .  . Of sterile thunder

Mortal splendor

.  .  . Of perishing the thought beware

Define but do not define

.  .  . Of constipated meaning

Lies beget them

.  .  . Of palpability resigned

The distant summit lends enchantment

.  .  . Of a laborious view

But it is better to crawl than to balk

.  .  . Of edging towards the clouds

Ride the shade to spacious skies

.  .  . Of climbing away from fear

Embrace the goal

.  .  . Of reaching the summit.

I like this poem best when I read the lines with the elipses separately, as if there are two poems here. Which makes sense as two people worked on it.

It is definitely better to crawl, than sit and complain about, if only if. And it is better to ride in the cool shadows, unseen, than be out in the open, where you can be easy prey to vultures. Thought provoking poem .

Now this is one hell of a write Tinka and it captures life and the struggle to reach life's summit so well. You outdid yourself on this one, the words, phrases, lines and paragraphs flow together to create a masterful dialogue. Well Done.
