Not just your joy,
but your lonliness I embrace.
I can feel the tears
before they touch your face.
To know the pain
in your life I seek,
That hidden sorrow
that makes you weak.
The tired fear,
written deep in your eyes,
Memories of hopeful hello's
and horrible goodbyes.
I long to know the lonely silence
that lives within
that empty space
you won't let no one in.
It's not your laughter in the wind
that calls my name.
only the calm in your storm
that I claim.
It's all the good
trapped in your darkness I can see
Won't you reach out into the light,
to me?

pierre, there's so much compassion in your words. it's obvious that you dearly love this person and see their gifts even even in the midst of pain.

Dear Pierre
Your capacity to love is large, for you embrace the pain as well as the good! Complete, mature, and courageous! This love seems capable of success! I especially love:
"...only the calm in your storm
that I claim..."
