Death, approach with care,
Give my mother a few more days
So she may say goodbye to her family.
Death, applaud your share,
But, hold your curtain from falling
Just a few more days.
Death, append your eyesight,
Grant my mother a few more days
So her family may say goodbye to her.
Death, appease your appetite,
But, hold back your hunger
Just a few more days…

Erin,
This wasn't what I expected--it was much, much more. That's the way I'm feeling about my Daddy. Very, very well penned, poignant write; thank you.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. |
