While on the surface this seems to be a relatively blatant entreaty to stop reading Holy texts literally, there is more to it than that one simple concept. the last part of the poem entreats us to "read between/and behind the lines/and outside the cover" to begin to really understand. While symbolic, this is really trying to get the point across that God's lessons aren't constrained to the literal word, or even any book for that matter. Life is a schoolhouse, and hopefully the more people realise this, the more we really will "begin to see."

the Scriptures have many layers
they are not simply Known
the Bhagavad Gita
is known to have seven
the Holy Bible
many more than that
for God is not Human
nor Plant
or Mineral
is He
but Spirit
which we may never
nor really need to
and He is not constrained
by the Physical World
so see ALL

such a being
could not possibly
limit Himself
to literal lessons
for it would be the equivalent
of a single man
trying to hold back
the Mississippi
or Ganges
it could not possibly be done

so next time you pick up your
do not constrain yourself
to the literal words
but read between
and behind the lines
and outside the cover
and you will begin to see

In American we have the right to free speech...You do and so do I .. Each of us looks at spirit belief as personal..The fact that you seem to be searching, searching, I see you are for light from spirit and truth..... Remember, light is knowledge and light knows only light...I will tell you a short story. In 2004 I was into every single religion accept Islam, spoke and was teaching every kind of occult practice known to man ( I do not lie about this ) by each kind of shamanism, including all forms of Celtic withcraft,Scientolgy, Anyways, was getting ready to commit suicide in my Volvo in a dark parking lot, my family deserted me) when I swear to you by Almighty I had a supernatural encounter that scared me at first with the divine and I do mean up above things you can't see but feel. Ever since then I have known who my God is. It is not defined by humanism.. I never tell anyone who their God is. I went to many Christian ministrys after the awakening and found some hypocricy.. Too many cults out there.. Not saying all bad about em..Today, I don't try to preach religion or doctrins. All I do is shower all with rare uncondtional love, that demands no conditions. By me showing light to a soul, I can indeed be more of a witness of what God does, what God was origianly for which is loves us all unconditionaly. We have been programed to love others with certain conditions. That is not what God does. He loves us totaly, yes, just as we really are.. I see your extremly intellegent and open to the light of all creation. Always keep your heart and mind open. Your well on your way to light, as you are with no conditions accept to just "be".. I solute you...

A poem full of wisdom. It reminds me of what is often taught at our Unitarian church. To seek your path with an open mind is to shine a light on your own life and those around you. Love the photo too.

Very spiritual and I'm one who always reads between and behind the lines. It's mere quantum physics and I say mere as when you find that to see is with the eyes and the brain then your focus become extreme.
Thanks for your poem. It is a lesson.
