No warnings...

+Very little do I read, let alone write of anything religious, but Mr. J. Allen Wilson and his most recent poem, the Seven Spectres of Darkness, got me to thinkin and writin'...+

No warnings will anyone heed,

All in control, nothing we need,

Darkness may on us descend,

For what humans did to god offend...

Some will be taken up,

Those pure in heart like my pup,

Though I am afraid I will stay,

Purity was never part or parcel of me,

I have done too much & taken it like it was free...

So gather together your hordes,

Make them wary, keep them from being bored,

For one day taken from this earth they will surely be,

To sit with and discuss humanities future,

With god the father and his son the lord…

A beautiful picture! And a great write too, many have done too much and taken as if it was free and still do.

I concur with the board below completely Ed !
The best thing you can do is keep your head below the parapet, and watch out for the ricochets !
Great picture accompanying your apocalyptic write

I truly wonder just how many truly 'pure in heart' humans have ever walked this earth. It often seems like there haven't been very many. Perhaps we'll all be 'left behind' except those pure in heart critters like good old Rufuz.

Love that pic!

Ed, the pic to this is breath-taking, and it matches the poem to perfection. Though I have to say, you shouldn't think that you'll be staying here. Someone already paid for our sins ;) All we have to do is ask and we shall receive. Hugs

Ed, The photo you picked to represent this fine, clear write is perfect. It is much like life and shows a clear and present danger if one were to run full speed into the way without taking heed of the obvious signs of danger. Though there is a wall there to protect us… it gives us a false sense of security. We can only be sure of our path and our way by taking heed of the signs along the way. Your wisdom shines in this heartfelt piece.

Ed you have a lot of surprises coming. It was for such as you that the Lord you speak of, paid your debt on the cross, so don't count yourself out so easily!

The visual is a sharp curve. That's exactly where man has put himself.

I admire your wisdom here. We're all feeling the day changing.
