Art by friend and fellow artist Ty Wilson.

By Susan de Vegter

So not to feel alone
Into the quiet dead of night
I ached for you into my bones
As yearnings pierced each silent wail
Into a void I groped and fell
Until my lonely twisted aches
Slipped me to sleep
To dream awake.
