Art by friend and fellow artist Ty Wilson.

By Susan de Vegter

I tucked my pillows all around
So not to feel alone
Into the quiet dead of night
I ached for you into my bones
As yearnings pierced each silent wail
Into a void I groped and fell
Until my lonely twisted aches
Slipped me to sleep
To dream awake.

Wonderfully succinct and almost too vivid. Brilliant of you
to illustrate the piece the way you have. What a striking drawing! Isn't it marvelous?! Can't wait to check out Ty Wilson's site.

Ahhhhh sometimes those waking dreams are the best as we can get to actually chose which direction they go in and where they will stop. It is when the dreams break over into reality that we have to worry.
