Living in the country was wonderful for Little Henry. He loved riding his bicycle on the dirt roads, but he should never have ridden it in the dark.....

It just seems like yesterday.
God Bless, Luke

He was only seven
When his father died
He knew he was in heaven
But oh how he cried.

No body in the casket
His father lost at sea
His heart an empty basket
Shrunken like a pea.

You have to be a man now
Youíre the oldest boy.
Now your standing on the bow
And this ship is not a toy.

Look out for your mum
And your younger brothers too
Watch that demon rum
And donít be a fool.

Hereís a hand full of change
To help ease your pain
We have go, weíve things to arrange.
Forlorn he stood in the rain.

Alone against the world
He made a silent vow
Young emotions swirled
As he tried to figure how?

He could be a man at seven
And do his father proud .
As the father watched from heaven
The young boy cried out loud .

Dad , I donít know why you left us
But I promise to do my best .
I will do my job without a fuss .
Loving you always in your final rest.

Almost 50 years have elapsed
since that fateful day
so much time has passed
his hair has turned to grey .

Now with two daughters
a family of his own.
Life's book's final chapters
All his brothers grown .
