|Such a touching poem, brought tears to my eyes. I had an english teacher whose surname was Burnside, made me think of him as I saw your name. God bless. Baz|

|This one knocked me out Kate, I can really relate to these words, I lost my husband, and then 11 months later my only son...time passed and I found someone, and he was killed in an automoble accident...you do learn to cope, it is not easy but you do learn, and you go on. My deepest condolences to you...I am sure God must have another plan for you, just as he did for me.
love and peace, Carole

|My deepest condolences, Kate. My mother chose to leave this world well before her time (at least, in my view); so I can relate to your grief. Love, peace, healing and strength to you,

|I am totally floored by all your comments, guys, and your personal testimonies cut me to the quick... Your own pain seems somehow so much more genuine than my own at the moment - is this normal??!! Without seeming to appear too harsh, I have to come clean and say that part of this poem is about sharing a good old joke with my Mum... in that she was always so totally pristine and smart - always the Lady - and I am somewhat a wreck by comparison!! :)) She'd be laughing!! Thank you ALL for your love and concern, but please be assured that, at the moment, I am coping just "fine"! :)) I am just sad for those of you whose stories are so heartrending, bless you xxxxxxxxxxooooxxxxxxxx K|

|I would interject "fatherless" where you've written "motherless". Seemed the very ground under my feet gave way when we lost him. Puts things in proper perspective and this poem screams this inwardly. Wish I could reach out and hug you, Kate. But you know whose arms hold you. I won't tell you to be strong. He'll do that for you...

|So sorry to hear of your loss Kate! I know
you are strong and have a big heart. I wish
there was something a person can say but I
don't know what it is.

|OMG Kate I know this feeling of just let go and become the Ghost in the house....one that does not care come rain or sunshine. I lost both my parents and my litle girl in between...so I am totally homeless too sis. But I can tell you this.....take your time and let your emotions show dear girl or you just hurt yourself by holding back. I know I did it and today I pay the penalty for keeping it cropped up inside.
Now take this advice and feed it to the guests and say shut-up I need my time to say goodbye!!
You are in my prayers Kate. And be strong and just let it out!!

|Sad Lady - You are so vulnerable right now, and we want to do something that will cushion things for you. As you know, it is a process which you may want to go through, constantly thinking that your Mum loves you in all that you are. She is now, you. On Wednesday, you will do well, and soon, the bad dreamtime will clear, and you will go on living... in the manner she would expect. Our blessings extend through your mother's Service... and beyond. - Bill
