"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay a while and leave footprints on our hearts; and we are never, ever the same."

All Is Well
To soothe the angst within my soul
I stepped out into night
I let the time flow past my face
Until the morning light
All was well
At the rising of the sun
I screamed out your name
A Stellerís jay cackled
All was well
At the sunís apogee
I sang out your name
A red-tailed hawk shrieked
All was well
At the setting of the sun
I intoned your name
A winter wren warbled
All was well
At the rising of the moon
I whispered your name
A saw-whet owl hooted
All was well
At the closing of my page
An angel blew the trumpet
She called out my name
All was well
At last
I shall see you again
All is well

For some reason as I was reading this poem I had the urge to sing the words. Maybe that is a sign that this poem can very well be turned into a song.

The poem is beautiful, and moving, the emotion overflowing from every line. The imagery is one to behold. Wonderfully done as always.

I like the combination of nature with the mysterious. It reminds me of the admonition to be still, and know that I am God. With this being still, we put off all the fretting, and know that all is well with our soul. Then there is that mystery of those who aren't with us being back some day.....Jerry
