"...and yes it has cost me dearly / But my life is meaningful honest and real"

Lone Wolf

Over the course of our lives we make choices

Based on what is what could be and might have been

What both external and internal voices

Have to say on the way and what these things mean

In terms of our emerging destiny here

And hereafter balancing boldness with fear

Action reaction hope and hesitation

Most of all we are just trying to get by

Our ups and downs middled by mitigation

Trying to live all we can before we die

I have always dreamed of being one of those

Misfit souls who manages to be unique

I could feel I was born for this so I chose

To follow my nose no matter what and seek

To avoid becoming a cog in the wheel

At all costs and yes it has cost me dearly

But my life is meaningful honest and real

I have developed insight to see clearly

Through the masks and facades of society

Which while they fool others will never fool me

there are alot of games played within the strange system of profit society,
meaning to turn some screws and poke some dough, you`ll ask yourself where's what's really important or meaningful as you say
- but hey, everyone is free to choose their own life-style

the image you posted is very striking! the energy of the moon is in magestic brilliance, blazing like the sun, blazing in the night
and the poem really suits you, i can see you wandering beneath the trees, with cold winds blowing, with the heat of the morning bloom glimmering within you - through you, your mind racing, resting, beaming, coruscating

Much Love,

Steve,

Be careful of who your friends are. If you're successful, especially; you'll find friends you never knew you had. Let hard times come, though, and they're running the other way and will say they never knew you. Pretty damn sad.

An excellent write, very well penned.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Nice darwing of the wolf, Steven. This poem is also one I can identify with, and when society saw they could not "cure" me from being this girl in my soul, they threw their hands in the air and gave up (giggles). But I can definitely identify with this, because this is how mt life has been lived.

And hereafter balancing boldness with fear

This is what I do everyday of my life. I balance boldness with the fear that I am not really accepted by those around me, just tolerated.

This is a very good write Steven. Thnx for sharing this with us.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

"If I have to be this girl in me, Then I have the right to be."

Well stated facts of life in this work that I can readily relate to. I too was critizied for a lot of the choices I made with my life but Steve it is amazing how fast the critics switch sides when success is in sight.
