I wrote this while daddy was at work, hope he is surprised...

She was daddy’s mommy,

They did not get along,

I knew not long had she to live,

So to her when I visited, my paw and love I did give…

Normally if daddy does not like someone,

I would be able to tell and growl and even bark,

But his mommy was not long for this earth,

I tried to treat her well and show her some mirth…

She and daddy did argue,

Seems right up to the bitter end,

I did not in daddy’s way get,

To my daddy I did not want to offend…

His mommy did eventually die,

He said in his own way good bye,

I wish I could have spared him the pain,

I love my daddy, I would not have complained…

This is just precious. Dogs have such a gentle way of healing the emotional trauma in humans. Their loyalty is one of the greatest gifts we ever know. Whether we're angry, sad, worried, happy, right or wrong, rich or poor - our precious canine friends are always right be our side to guide us to an inner peace through their loyal guardian ship over us.
