A wonderful painting! Excellent write! (Best way to get even is probably to absolutely forget the person, which could be worse than to be completely forgotten!)

I love the sketch of you and it says a lot about you,it's beautiful in many ways, just like you.
The poem is so wise and so true and I too can relate to the feelings in this poem for I have been to that place and that crossroad when REASON itself (with much prayer) saves us from being like them (THE USERS)it hurts so much though and I can feel the pain in your words and I know the feeling well.
Hugs to you dear lady ,you inspire me and I admire YOU.
Sincerely
from

Yes, it only comes back and bites you--double whammy. Just increases the misery. But Phil's comment does have some appeal, tho, lol! Seriously, some just can't accept love. Its not a reflection on us. Wise words, Eileen. Love the painting...

Your poem reminds me of the definition of love that someone recently shared with me. Here it is:
"Love has a different tune: I love you, therefore you are free to do as you wish. My love says you cannot do any wrong in my sight. My love says you cannot hurt me for it would not wish to make you responsible for the way I feel. My love says I am here for you if you want me, or I can be gone if that is what you wish. My love does not depend on your performance to exist - it depends entirely on a choice I make, moment by moment. My love accepts that you may even come to hate me for what I am and it is strong enough not to compromise itself to please you. My love cannot be manipulated. My capacity to love is infinite and is not bound by your feelings or desires."
Thank you for sharing your wisdom via your verses here as well as your art work, Eileen. Love and peace,
Regis |

Excellent, ET! I've found myself where you write about, and come to the same conclusion. We must try to be better than those who hurt us. Well done.

| Ah, Eileen, the whims and folly's of love and it's associate stupidity. True love is a beast at times, because we give up so much of ourselves that it become so very easy for loves pains to surface when the one we love, loves us not. |

| Great lines Eileen. But you'd be amazed how a good pop to the chops will make you feel. Women should have equal rights, and a darn good left cross too. |

Not only is this an excellent write, it's also excellent advice.
Getting even is a waste of energy, especially where matters of the heart are involved.
Wish them the best and find the one that is truly meant for you.

Eileen,
A beautiful painting; a hard hitting write. We want to exact revenge on those who hurt us, only natural; but leave it to God. He even said, "Revenge is mine, saith the Lord." He'll get his. :)

I didn't realize you are an artist of canvas. You are multi-talented like a lot of our peers here. Jay, Rage, Sage...just so much creativity in our place here. I guess I'll just say I'm very proud of a lot of people here. Love your way of getting it out too...in your prose. This is a vent necassary for the heart to compose a song to sing away the pain.
