Asses! Mules of dysfunction! Do you keep
Walking backwards to fool the masses? Weep,
Mankind, for you are dead. Unless, you see
You aren’t dead. Can it be that simple? Flee
Sad regrets, flake fortitude, be you… Have
You cleaned your future-gleaming-galore? Have
You predicted new reasons forsworn? Show
Me the bow of your back in accordance
To the book of You! Did you write this book?
Or, were you shorn of truth? Sapient book
Of devils, book of delight, song-filled book
Of sorrow’s delight, to me, You are Book.
Books of asses, books of Man, do you keep
Truth within yourself? Or, are you asleep?

Erin,
I fear they are asleep, while the rest of us founder in drowning seas of nightmarish proportions. God help us all. An excellent, thought provoking, powerful pen you weild--more, please!

I call them "The men in the black suits". Jackasses is prettier than what I really call them. In fact jackasses are also those of apathy here in every state in the US.
You said it so much better!

Too many are asleep, which is why I started my bullshit blog.
Good work, Erin. A nice shout penned with concern for humanity.
The asses are in Washinton, braying with self interest.
Smooch...
