He made me anxious and worried my head
His dealings with crack just filled me with dread
But, I stood by him through thick and through thin
Still he could’a cared less, it was all about him.

He took all my cash and smoked all that rock
I fretted the harm and tried to make him get off
He did for awhile was as clean as new snow
But soon it was snow he sucked up through his nose

When cameras and radios and everything went
Showing up in a month at the Pawn Shop on Tenth
I waved my goodbyes and wished him good luck
Because now it’s my turn to be selfish and stuff

E x c e l l e n t. This really hits home, Sandi. Won't break
confidence by telling the story, which like yours {given the
poem is autobiographical)is sad and disturbing, but has a good ending in terms of the person whose trust was broken
having had the courage and good sense to get o u t. Only wish the
situation were unusual. Seems like the drug problem in this
country is getting worse by the minute. You are doing a great
service by speaking up. People need to know it CAN happen
to them. Nothing to do with class or ethnicity or income or
education. . .y o u know! T h a n k y o u !! 'Pea' <3
