You have come to sail with me
In an aura of mystery
There is a blue spiked moon
In a tenebrous sky
The wind sings a plaintive cry

We are shrouded in ebony
Waves slap the boat restlessly
Not a word is spoken
Silence is not broken

Somehow we know our destination
Has to do with transformation
Knowing each other from eons past
Excited to be called at last

We know that each plateau we reach
Is  structured mainly  to teach
Until we arrive at a condition
To assume our rightful position

We are warriors of the light
Sailing boldly in the night
Heading towards divinity
To fulfill our destiny

Oh, my, Eileen, I've never heard this expressed in this way. You changed rhythms as a demonstration of the theme, everychanging. Even the rhyme scheme lends to the message.

You are a deep thinker with a beautifully accessible way to share it in your poetry. It often takes me a while to move on, even after I've left your site.
