Sacred Seasons of Our Love

A compilation poem written with my friend Felix Perry.

I ask what I should do to win your heart and soul
As the autumn of our life approaches fast
As I feel the summer warmth slip away
As the cold winds blow and the sun shadows cast
I ask what will you say?

" Your desire to win amazes me
For in my heart you'll always be
In life we've seen ups and downs
We learn from life ...we settled down
Through Hells fire we've waded strong
It is right here where I belong."

I ask will you promise that before the snow of winter fall
When the ice freezes the lake to solid
As the bears hibernate in hopes to see another spring
As the birds fly south I sit and admire what I so want
I ask what will your answer bring?

"In autumn as the winds build strong
When geese fly south our love is strong
With every chill between night's turn
Flesh to flesh the fire's will burn
To dwell within a heart in song
Enforces love that here belongs."

I ask then that you will walk with me when the buds begin to show
Along a path between the trees
As hands warm hands, and lips meet lips beneath a starry sky
As we possess each others seasons blessed
I ask when my fingers touch your body will you breath a sigh?

"The boy in you nourishes the awe
As love runs on til spring time thaws
The girl in me is overwhelmed
From boyish passion where I dwell
Young love builds ...ages with grace
As lines of history embrace your face
My tears are dedicated vows of true
Love for the boy embraced in you."

Gotta go with Jerry: "Vive la difference!" indeed! I am fascinated by the wonderful amalgamations and transformations that working together brings to shared and individual poetic style and theme. This darling has Felix's heart and Susan's eyes!! :)) A wonderful love-child of a write, thank you both! Kate xx

This International Poetry is getting very good, you two.
Your work is amazing, in that when presented to us, it is as if written by one highly determined individual... bent on making his/her emotions and wants felt. - "Good shew!" - Bill

Your partnership is going from strength to strength, as this fine duet
shows..
There is a nice harmony and accord between your unique and original styles, that blends well together as a collaboration..
Well done Susan and Felix !

Some very good poetical Q&A going on here. I like it when there is a distinct difference with two peoples style when they get together for one between them. Viva la difference! It worked here.
