A repost while I slumber..

You slumber

in the deepest recess

of my heart

Many times I renounce

your resolute voice

as it whispers persuasively

rekindling embers of a love ancient

Beloved..

nothing equals this intensity

as it compels my heart

back to life

reviving my abandoned dreams

promising love complete

You come to me

in the silence of a dream

in which illusion fades

ushering in reality

Eternal is this longing

and in it I dwell

embracing stillness and storm

Though I may wake in tears

I would rather have you

in a dream

than not have you at all

This is powerful and haunting, but not something I would want to happen to me. Thanks for sharing.

Etheral and the picture creates a dream like setting that the words and your skill continue throughout the poem, love should be like that, dreamy and at times distant and often untouchable. This write touches on memories of my own past loves that still linger sometimes in my dreams too.
