He is Risen!

As Easter nears let us remember........

They took a man

who knew no sin

30 pieces of silver

a follower turned him in

Then hung his-self

ashamed for his sin

They nailed the Lord

to a cross where he hung

as his life's blood

flowed from his veins

They knew that he was gone

but sent guards

to make sure his body remained

Placed in a tomb

a stone blocked the way

Yes, they had to be sure

that here his body stayed

I sat close listening

to the story

it was quite as the dark cold night

And when I heard

that he had died

A silent tear dripped

down from my eyes

Then I heard the most

beautiful part of all

The third morning...

HE AROSE!!!!

No grave could hold him down

No cross of mortal man

God the Father

had the master plans

His mission....

To save the souls of man!

Gramps would pick me up

and tuck me in

and say a prayer with me

Always remembering

the Christ child

and what his Sacrifice gave

for with his life

 man was saved!!!

I love the crescendo at the verse "no grave could hold Him down"! This is a beatiful tribute to our Lord.
