Honoring Holy Week
I was still and quiet when I made my choice It enabled me to hear the precious voice
That welcomed me into the realms of believers That's why I remember my heavenly receivers
So I ask all readers what you think of choice Please not just abortion when you give voice
The choice I'm referring to is what you make Daily in a myriad of paths you take
Every act we do requires us to choose Sometimes it results in if we win or lose
Our choice of Big Bang versus Creation In my opinion doesn't rule out evolution
All things in nature may see varied life evolve Humanity is not included that God did resolve
Entrusting humans with guardianship over all This ties into the reason of Satan's fall
We are Creator's choice for eternal friendship Please, don't choose to deny this ultimate trip
etw-2006
" John asked:
Hi, I'm new to philosophy and I'm sure this has been discussed many times, so please bear with me!
There are two possibilities: Either the universe has always existed ,which is presumably impossible or there was a time when the universe did NOT exist and then all that matter was created out of nothing (which, according to our current knowledge of physics, is equally impossible as matter cannot derive from nothing! )
Of course, if the universe was 'created' then this begs the question: 'Who was the Creator?', then 'who created the creator's creator?' etc. — Any suggestions? " ~~~ " It still remains open to the physicist to argue that the ultimate physical 'constant' is not matter but probabilistic laws according to which at every time and at every place there is a non-zero probability of matter appearing, where previously there was no matter. The laws have existed for an infinite time, matter has only existed for a finite time.
The argument goes, There has to be a Creator who exists outside the infinite series of causes and effects, who timelessly 'causes' the whole infinite series to exist. The Creator does not exist in time, so the question of when the Creator came into existence does not arise. The Creator is 'cause of itself', so the question of who created the Creator does not arise."
"I am not defending this argument, only expounding it! "
(question and answer from the internet)
Sorry for any confusion Karla, that was not my statement, it was the physicists that answered the young man. See where I ended with question and answer from the internet. I do appreciate your input and love the verses you have chosen to make your point, I used them many times when teaching the bible;-)

I have no idea how it all came to be, though I do believe very strongly in God and believe tht He is the Creator of many if not all things. I also subscribe to the evolutionary theory in that we know that there have been several more primitave versons of the human we are today. At times I toy with the thought that perhaps alien type beings came here to breed with our early man and evolved into the species we are today. The method by how we arrived here in the form we take today is unimportant to me, yet my faith in God is very important. I simply feel blessed to have been chosen to be here and to be able to weigh this most faceted question.
Take care,
Sherry |

| This is beautiful and spiritual and a wonderful affirmation of your Christianity. The very idea that a human, scientist or not, could think themselves into the "answers" is ludicrous. I am with you 100% and I am sold out to Jesus. |

We either choose to believe in God, or else we don't. I opt for the former. I believe in God, and I believe in salvation. Very well penned, Eileen; keep on preachin' and keep on believin'! I am on your side! :)

To find the answer look inside for th eemotions and passions are enhanced by belief...in anything and everything. Our world was created and we are all children of this Creator/Creation. Sometimes quetions have no viable answer...ask a scientist...they are emotionless...it is black and white...ask somone with a heart...totally different answer. Thank God we aren't cloned for it would be a very boring world...indeed!

Our choice of Big Bang versus Creation
In my opinion doesn't rule out evolution
A very fascinating piece, Tiger Lily - and I happen to agree with you. Scientific studies seem to prove the Big Bang, but why couldn't The Big Bang have been created - by the Creator?
And science seems to support evolution. Genetically speaking, although many don't like to hear it, we are all animals - my dog's DNA is 98 percent similar to mine. So why couldn't evolution have been part of his Very Creative Plan also? |

EVERY SECOND IS HOLY. AND THIS POEM, "CHOICES" IS A DYNAMO OF THE HOLY POETRY'S COMMANDMENT.
IT WOULD BE HOLY IF WE COULD FOLLOW THE CLOSING LINES OF "CHOICES".

EVERYTIME I MEET A RELIGIOUS LEADER, MINISTER, PRIEST, RABBI, BISHOP, ARCHBISHOP ~ I ASK, DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TEETH ~ AN ORALLY HEALTHY PERSON HAS IN THE MOUTH? or, IN ACCORDANCE WITH HUMAN ANATOMY, what is a perfect DENTITION of an adult?
I have been asking the above simple question for twenty-nine years ~ and, strange as it may sound, TO MORE THAN THREE HUNDRED CLERGY-MEN, but none of them ever answered... YES, dear reader... they didn't know it!
I URGE YOU TO ASK THE SAME QUESTION TO THE ONES YOU MEET.
This one, "CHOICES" made me think that is about time for us humans to ignite our thinking ENGINE and the wings of imagination.
I salute Your Sublime Grace, Poet!

Dear Eileen, your write is great and your choice is faith. Whatever lies burried in ancient secrets probably will be revealed at the end of the long journey of life. While being philosophic is a wonderful thing, secrets, untold, can be just as wonderful. Love your concept.

'Who was the Creator?', then 'who created the creator's creator?' etc
My question exactly...what an excellent observation
I understand the last part of this, but it always disappears when I try to say it aloud to reaffirm what I understand... Whew! Perhaps I'm not suppose to understand...its like a song that you know the lyrics to, but mess it up every time you sing it |

Eileen,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made my him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. ~ John 1.1-3.
I choose to believe in Creation by a divine Creator. How can I not? I look at the wonders above, around and below me and marvel at an intelligent, thoughtful Creator who made this world for me.
The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. ~ Psalm 14:1. I will not say that. I choose to believe there is a God.
You may not defend the arguement, but I will. I believe. That's all that needs to be said. :) And it's my choice TO believe.
An excellent, thought provoking piece you've penned; well done!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. |
